NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi | North Central Bronx has opened a $2 million MR suite at its North Central Bronx campus, replacing its existing system with a Canon Vantage Orian Encore.
The project includes renovated imaging rooms and new MR equipment designed to shorten scan times and produce higher-resolution images. Hospital officials said the upgrades are expected to improve diagnostic capabilities and help reduce patient wait times for imaging studies.
The new system also incorporates features intended to address patient comfort. According to the hospital, the MR suite includes video projection designed to create a calming environment during scans, along with technology aimed at reducing scanner noise.
