Today I am joined by my friend Peter Shen, the head of the Digital & Automation business at Siemens Healthineers North America, for another conversation about AI in healthcare, (here's a link to our previous chat).

Today, we focus on legislation that was recently introduced in the Senate, which aims to ensure a stable reimbursement pathway for AI-enabled medical devices.

Peter has testified before Congress six times in the past 18 months on matters related to AI reimbursement. During our talk, he describes what the current AI reimbursement landscape looks like, and how this legislation could level the reimbursement playing field and spur adoption to improve an institution’s ROI as well as dramatically impact healthcare.
