The goal of this research effort is to identify and scientifically validate new approaches to EMS patient care that will improve survival of serious traumatic injury and out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest. Eleven EMS systems in the State of Iowa will participate in this landmark research effort, to include systems from Iowa City, Davenport, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Mt. Pleasant, Des Moines, West Des Moines/Dallas Co. and Sioux City.

Pella, Iowa: The Pella Community Ambulance is actively seeking a qualified Paramedic Specialist to compliment the volunteer staff that is presently serving the community. This is a new full time position. Certifications: PS, ACLS, BLS, (CCP preferred). Experience: 1- 3 years as PS. Applicants will be required to submit to a physical capacity test, written test, drug screen oral interview and a background investigation. Salary Commensurate with Experience.
