The Woman’s Hospital of Texas announced that Denise Sutler, MD, has been named chief medical officer, effective Monday, May 4, 2026.

Dr. Sutler is a board-certified OB-GYN and has been a member of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas medical staff since 2019. During her tenure, Dr. Sutler has delivered hundreds of high-risk obstetrics patients and performed numerous complex gynecologic surgeries. She has been a valued member of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas medical staff, serving in multiple hospital committee leadership roles that support the hospital’s focus on patient safety, quality and exceptional women-first care.

Dr. Sutler brings more than 27 years of experience with a career centered on patient safety and strong clinical outcomes for women. She has helped hundreds of women grow their families at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas while supporting data-informed improvements aimed at minimizing complications and strengthening care for mothers and babies.

Dr. Sutler earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Thomas More College in Kentucky and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati.
