Royal Philips has received FDA 510(k) clearance for a set of CT imaging systems under its Rembra platform, expanding its portfolio across diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy planning.
The Amsterdam-based company said the clearance covers three systems: Rembra CT, Rembra RT and Areta RT. The products are intended to address rising imaging volumes and increasing complexity in both acute care and oncology settings.
Rembra CT is designed for high-throughput environments such as emergency departments and critical care units. The system features an 85 cm bore and is configured to support large imaging volumes, with Philips citing capacity for up to 270 exams per day. The platform is positioned to deliver rapid image acquisition and reconstruction while maintaining diagnostic quality in time-sensitive scenarios.

The Rembra platform also extends into radiation oncology. Rembra RT and Areta RT are built to support simulation and treatment planning workflows, incorporating wide field-of-view imaging and 4DCT capabilities. These features are intended to improve tumor targeting and reduce exposure to surrounding healthy tissue.
Philips said the systems are designed to integrate diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy workflows, allowing clinicians to move from initial assessment to treatment planning within a more unified environment. The approach reflects broader industry efforts to streamline imaging pathways and reduce variability in care delivery.
