HCB News: For first time exhibitors, what advice would you offer to make sure they make the most of their time?
KFM: As with any trade fair, it is crucial for exhibitors to plan their participation as far in advance as possible. Some tips would be:
- Please keep in mind that the venue (CORFERIAS) is a special permanent duty-free zone which allows the temporary import and display of equipment on the show without being subject to duties and customs.

- Get to know the market and possible distribution and sales channels for your products and/or service beforehand as well as the main competitors and possible distributors and buyers.
- Have a professional exhibit stand that highlights the benefits of the products and services you offer, remember that giving visitors a more memorable experience ensures a bigger impact at international trade shows.
- Be aware of language barriers. Spanish is the native language in Colombia but visitors have a high level of education and most of them speak English. Having material in both languages, English and Spanish, will make a difference. Also having sales representatives who speak Spanish or a translator is a very good idea.
- Invite possible clients in advance to your booth in order to have time to prepare for meetings.
- Take full advantage of all the activities that the show offers to make the most of your participation. The activities will be published on the website (feriameditech.com).
HCB News: What will the program at MEDITECH 2024 consist of this year? Are there any particular highlights?
KFM: MEDITECH is the most important trade fair in the region and the 2024 edition will also have a series of special sections and activities, such as the CEATH experience area and the SOFTWARE HEALTHTECH zone, bringing together the most important companies in the software development sector.
