Treatment with focused ultrasound made news in December, 2016, when the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust became the first in the U.K. to treat essential tremor with the technology.
"This breakthrough allows us now to operate on these patients without the significant risks that inserting an electrode 15 cm deep into the brain entails," Dr. Dipankar Nandi, consultant neurosurgeon,
said at the time.

In an interview in the April issue of Healthcare Business News magazine, Dr. Maurice R. Ferré, INSIGHTEC's CEO and chairman,
