Clinical Training
Clinical Training occurs at the Roosevelt Hospital Site located at 425 West 59th Street as well as the St. Lukes Site located at 1090 Amsterdam Avenue.

Curriculum
1. Didactic Sessions- Full and Part time faculty lecture to the residents based on the Integrated Basic and Clinical Science Conference Series designed by Dr. Ponciano Cruz from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. The curriculum is repeated and updated yearly.
2. Resident Resource Room- state of the art electronic equipment, growing slide collection
3. Dermatology Library- the latest dermatology journals and textbooks are available to anyone who is interested
4. Weekly Morphology and Kodachrome Session
5. Dermatopathology Sessions and lectures - residents review slides weekly with a dermatopathologist
6. Surgery Didactic- including Pigs Feet Sessions
7. Clinical Conference- A resident -run conference where interesting cases are discussed during the monthly Grand Rounds
8. Consultation Rounds
9. Electives
10. Research- Required for each resident

Medical Student Programs
Each 3rd year student from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University spends one week in dermatology. There are also one month electives for 4th year medical students interested in the field of dermatology.
