Tube arcing?? Here are a few items to check in troubleshooting:

Aurora, Illinois - There can be several different scenarios. An arc is defined as instability in the mA. It is imperative to check your filament current, mA, HV cables, HV wells, cathode and anode tank, filament tank and rotor starter. If it still seems as though the tube is arcing, this could mean that the tube is gassy and needs to go through the system seasoning or aging process. Making sure that these steps are followed will help in troubleshooting whether it is a tube problem or a system problem.
