The Cleveland, Ohio-based Alpha Imaging announced this week that they have acquired Tristar Midatlantic Imaging, Inc. of Norristown, Pennsylvania.
For the past 27 years, Alpha Imaging has been a regional distributor of advanced imaging equipment, mostly for the Midwest. The deal with Tristar is intended to expand the company's reach and increase sales and service coverage for diagnostic and interventional imaging products in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
But the acquisition isn't the first for Alpha. In 2012, it acquired Reliant Medical Systems based in Maryland in order to establish a center of excellence for service delivery in the Mid-Atlantic.
