STAMFORD, CT. - May 30, 2006 - FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. is pleased to announce that Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), has named Fuji to its computed radiography (CR) contract. With this new three-year, multi source agreement, VHA and UHC member facilities will have access to Fuji's complete line of cassette-based digital x-ray products, along with imaging plates, cassettes and accessories. The contract is effective June 1, 2006, through May 31, 2009, and offers two one-year extension options.

"We recognize Fuji's long-standing leadership position in digital x-ray and we are thrilled to be able to provide our member facilities with Fuji's CR products," said Larry Dooley, Novation's Vice President of Contract and Program Services. "Today Fuji continues to offer an excellent combination of the most cost-effective and high-quality solutions for digital technology."

Included in the contract are all of Fuji's cassette-based readers, featuring the newly introduced FCR Carbon readers, Carbon X and Carbon XL. Both FCR Carbon models maintain Fuji's renowned image quality, while taking only 2.41 square feet of floor space, making it the smallest, full-featured CR system in the world. Also included are the FCR XG5000, the highest throughput (processing up to 165 imaging plates per hour), multi plate-based digital x-ray device available in the world today, and Fuji's ClearView-CSTM, which provides premium digital x-ray quality particularly well suited for pediatrics and digital mammography.*

"We're pleased that on the heels of our recognition with the Frost & Sullivan CR Market Leadership Award, Novation has again recognized the quality of FCR and awarded us with this three-year agreement," said Phil Buffington, Executive Director, National Accounts at Fuji. "This high level, ongoing recognition is a true testament to Fuji's continued delivery of high quality, innovative systems that for more than 20 years have been setting the standard for digital x-ray and ensuring Fuji's position as the digital x-ray market leader."

This contract follows a recent agreement that names Fuji as the preferred provider of a comprehensive assortment of medical film, imagers, and related products, including conventional wet film, mammography film, dry film, and dry thermal and laser imagers.
