It's no secret that a CT scanner is a dutiful revenue-generator for radiology departments, but only if the actual equipment holds up its end of the bargain.
CT service contracts act as a facility's insurance against equipment downtime. But oftentimes, the devil's in the details -- providers discover they're not covered for costly after-hours repairs or lose track of turnaround times and end up not getting the level of service they paid for.
