Have a Vidar Diagnostic Pro with images coming out normal in a few areas but with only a few shades of gray or black in most areas. Vidar will not provide a service manual as they no longer support this product. Has anybody seen this problem, know the cause or have a service manual? Thank you.

Generally it is the lamp, but may be a board issue. I will check with one of my techs and let you know if they know more. We can get the lamp for you.

Just got some information from my service group. They tell me, "Check to see if the CCD Lamp is bright or dull. If the lamp is dull then it will most likely be the motor board or power supply. If the lamp is bright then it's likely that the unit will need a camera array board or analog board replacement." We can do this work or provide you parts.
