January 19, 2015 05:08
Hi everybody, I have an error EF7F0 in a Sonos 5500 and never start the application, I checked in the service manual and is a problem with DSCC board, I replaced it, but the problem persist, I reconect all the boards and put the original DSCC board and the error dissapear and work ok, but after 1 week, the problem appear again. will be the power supply the problem?, any glue?, someone can help me?

I do not think it would be a power supply problem.
Did you check the RST error log? It may provide more information. I would recommend running the Scanner subsystem diagnostics. The DSCC mainly communicates to the Beam boards.

Yo propably have a problem with one of the beam formers from the front. If you have one good board try replacing one by one.

Running the Scanner diagnostics, under the Test button, should isolate the failure. If not, you can try changing the position of the front 2 Beam boards with the 2 rear Beam boards. Your error was a DSCC 0 error. I think it will change to a DSCC 1 error if a Beam board is the problem. We have tested Beam and DSCC boards in stock.
