Is internal built-in printer or external printer having problem on automatic mode? Was it ever working before? Depending on the software, some of the features are not available on the built-in printer. Date and time are not printed out on the internal printer. I suggest you consult with the operator's manual instead.
These equipments are integrated. That mean that there few components you can change in order to solve something.
You don't mention if when youpush AUTO you have an iso electrical line or if the printer never start. If you have an iso electrical line in AUTO but perfect EKG in MANUAL, the main board must be changed. If the print doesn't start in AUTO the soft touch pannel or its controller board must be deffective.

I have solved one like that. Just a simple thing, re-check the printing paper whether it is in right spot mark dicrection or not? You can not start in auto mode because machine can not detected the paper (mark pooint) so there is no command for that. It's not like a software probelm anyways :-)

It look like a good idea. Perhaps is the key to solve it. I don't remember is this equipment use marked paper for work or not but your comment is real and possibly the solution.
