You will need to know if your chip is diagnostic grade or not. Check the site_cnf and if diagnostic expiration date is past or future. If you read 2016 or similar as the expiration year, you will need a new chip with the software with diagnostics availables... I Have this case too with an IQ and am looking for a microcontroller with software tape with diagnostics available.
