Can anyone help me with an OEC9400 display lights problem. They are intermittantly dim. I changed the power supply and the light were OK for about 3 weeks. Now they are back to bright sometimes and dim sometimes, but mostly dim. the machine functions fine regardless of the status of the display. Al Brown
Is this crystal on the DISPLAY board or on the CONTROL PANEL PROCESSOR board. The Controol Panel Processor board has two crystals. The site is in Jamaica, do you think that the frequencies in the service manual are the same? Y1=1.8432MHZ Y2=16MHZ
The cristal it is on CONTROL PANEL PROCESSOR and the crystal it is 16mhz, the other belong to the RS232 interface

Thanks for the tip. I was going to replace the display PCB but now I will try that first. Where do I get the crystal?
