HiLight Adv Error

April 10, 2007 11:05

Hello:
I am having a TGGC Fault 2100 X Ray Tube Current without Firmware request during Tube Warm up and scans. Any ideas about possible causes? Thank you.
Best Regards,

Check the adjustment procedures for the A2 and A3 boards in the TGGC. A maladjusted board can cause this as well as a faulty A2 or A3 board. Make sure the X-Ray On adjustment on page 6-4-1 of the X-Ray manual is ok as well. Also, check and/or replace the precontacting and contacting SCR's on the XG1A6 Panel. A HV Transformer can also cause this problem.

Elias,

The info from Eliott is correct. However, with over 25 years of experience on this TGGC system, odds are your tube is about to go out. Clean the cables and tube wells. If you hurry, you may be able to have the tube reprocessed and save it for a while.

I agree with Scooter.... more than likely it's the tube, but be sure to check out the other things I posted first... a small adjustment is cheaper than an X-Ray tube

Hello:
Thank you both of you. I will recheck the adjustments as I had already gone through them, but I will do it again to make sure everything is OK. Actually the system originally was a 9800 and it was upgraded to HiLight Adavantage. I have another question. In TGGC CPU board there seem to be missing a couple of EEPROM's, I wonder if they are used or not, mainly one of them, U176. I don't know for sure it is needed. Thank you in advance.

Elias,

U176 is the select 15 eeprom and certainly should be there. Be careful that the revision level of the replacement prom is the same. Most later systems are running either rev 0 or rev 12. They all must match revision levels.
