I have a GE voluson 730 Expert with no video output on monitor. All led lights voltage are ok. I also used an externe vga monitor (on the UGI)and have no video on screen. The SBC was replaced and all the board reseated.
Hi! CKV is the board responsible for the image to the monitor. Take it off and plug the VGA connector right on SBC and check for native video (low resolution and 640x480 aspect). If image is present, verify the boot is complete to assure you have a healthy system. Allow equipment shuts down and re-attach the CKV. It might be possible the correct image aspect will be back (saw it happened, once). Hope this directions are useful. God Bless. MAC.

My expert 2002 bt 01 ckv communication problem, then image got shrinked and no scanning area. I did reset all boards but the problems still persist. I loaded 4D image stored in HDD, the 4D image is seen but not clearly as before. Please advise. Thanks, Kevin

I did reset all boards and probes. But still the problem exist. SOme people said that BF and Power Supply problem. Some said that CKV problem.
I loaded the stored 4D image and the 4D image is seen not clearly as before. Do you have email so I can send the images?
Hi, Kevin! It looks you have two different issues. If monitor is reduced size, you must check this first. Plug a laptop/desktop in its VGA cable and see what it happens. Be sure image looks good prior to continue suspecting CKV. I suspect you have a bad CRT monitor, because of its age (2002). CKV outputs a 90 Hz horizontal sweeping and not all monitors have this feature (Samsung 540n works good, just in case). Another thing is, HVPS seems to be down. There's a Service area where you can check if equipment delivers high voltage to the probes. Beam Former (CPR), in my beliefs, is the last suspectable board, and it is very expensive. Save the pictures you mentioned into a CD or USB Driver, and check if the 4D images looks better in your computer. If you want to e-mail me, please, use the following, macintouch@ymail.com. If No, does your system boots completely and keyboard functioning?
If Yes, the probelem comes eithe fom CPU board or the Version of the SBC Board you have changed is not compatable with current Firmware of the machine.
If No, Change CPU boad.
