FAILED DISK ARRAY ASSEMBLY (JBOD)/ HARD DISK ON LIGHTSPEED VCT 6
April 12, 2018 09:17
Dear Friends,
Kindly assists with possible suggested solutions on the Booting/Scanning Problem on the Lightspeed VCT 64 failed Disk Assembly (JBOD)/Hard Disk:
The Seagate original Hard Disk was ST373454LC. but now replaced with new model ST373455LC, same speed and capacity. However, no provision for the Jumper in the new model. Console Model is GOC5
Scanning was done two days ago after the previous hard disk failures which has been intermittent until today when gre-raid failed completely and system could not boot again.
Initially, the system booted up completely,
BUT when scanning a patient, then pop errors:
- the *scanning hardware stopped scan* was displayed.
And also pop message shown saying
- "Data *Acquisition (dataacq) is not ready for scanning.
You might have to reboot the system to recover"* shown,
(see pictures attached)
After restarting the system, the console didn't boot completely. Showing
- *gre-raid failed* and unable to verify *system functionality on startup please power cycle the console.*
The console was restarted several times, but gre-raid always failed.
