Sometimes this is a software problem that can be solved easily and some time you will need to load software again.
In first case, select scanner utilities, power down, reboot, from ELTP and wait until the green letters say that press cr to start menu. you will have few seconds to do. When you do it right a screen showing 6 options will appear. Select option 6 to erase all images in disk(s) (it will be easier to restore the system). You will lost all images recorded. Sistem will ask you about it and you will need to confirm in everycase tiping "y" to each question. After it be completed, the principal screen will return. Now select option 4 and after it, option 3. If there is not errors, sistem will boot and you can test it to see if 601 doesn't appear again. If there are errors, you must take note about it to can obtain help.
If no errors appear but 601 persist...
Try to re load software. The tape you need must be named PITY.
To do it open tape holder and put tape but doesn't close the door.Select shutdown and, after it complete and the Ct turn off, close door and restart.
In ELTP screen will appear some options, select option 3, A block that say "start transfer" will appear, select it. Another box will appear after it finish, select it to return to main boxes menu. Now select option 5 and after option 1, the tape will be eject and the equipment will reboot. Sometimes the crt present questions, answer no to all of them.
Often this will solve the problem or will expose you the original cause of the problem.
If problem persist, press at the same time "shift" and "enter text",write "root" and press enter twice, the IQ pront will appear, write "erl" and press enter, a list will appear, press next as time as needed to reach the last page and press f5 and after f2. Take note of the last line information and write us again for further help.

You have a Hard Disk error, either the system or the image disk. More likely to the the image disk.
