If the unit is giving a error code higher than the 400's than I would verify the power supplies on the CPU board check for ac noise also. The 680 is not within the normal rnage of error codes so it could be the CPU is giving a false code. If the supplies are good than I would replace the RAM chips and than perform a complete calibration. If you can not clear the 680 error replace the CPU
