The AMX when charged, rapidily discharges without taking a shot. I have replaced the batteries but still have problem. I have calibrated the volt meter and charger. What could be the issue?
This is caused because the Internal capacity meter and the capacity displayed (batteries) are out-of-sync. I have been through this several times and this procedure always works.
STEP 1: Enter Diagnostics Mode (Turn on keyswitch; TEST 01 appears, flip Service Switch down)
STEP 2: Display reads "END SERVICE MODE"
KV up until "DIAGNOSIS ITEMS" is displayed
STEP 3: MAS down until display reads "ENTER PASSWORD".
Enter password: MAS up, MAS down, KV down,
KV up.
STEP 4: "SYS DIAGNOSTICS" dsiplayed, press MAS down one time until "SYSTEM BLOCK TESTS" appears.
STEP 5: KV down to reach "LOOP TEST". MAS down one time. "DEFINE ADDRESS" is displayed on panel and "0000" is displayed on the top display.
STEP 6: Depress Mas down one time; first "0" character flashes. Leave as "0". Press Mas down once; second character flashes.
STEP 7: Depress kV down until the small letter "c" appears; MAS down will begin third "0" character flashing.
STEP 8: Depress KV down until the small letter "b" appears; MAS down will begin fourth "0" charcter to flash.
STEP 9: KV up until the number "4" appears; when all four characters are entered the display will show "0cb4".
STEP 10: MAS down and the top display will show 0cb4 00. Panel display will alternate between "MAS DOWN FOR BIN" and "MAS UP FOR HEX".
STEP 11: MAS up to select HEX.
STEP 12: Panel display will show "READ".
STEP 13: Depress KV down to enter "WRITE".
STEP 14: MAS down twice; Top display will show "00" with the first character flashing.
STEP 15: KV down to change the first character to "F".
STEP 16: MAS down once and second "0" will flash.
STEP 17: KV down to change the second character to "F".
STEP 18: MAS down once, "LOOPING" appears on the panel display and the top display will show new address of "0cb4" and "FF".
STEP 19: MAS up once; Panel display shows "LOOP TEST".
MAS up again; "SYS DIAGNOSTICS" appears.
MAS up again; "DIAGNOSIS ITEMS" appears.
KV down to get to "SWITCH TO RUN".
STEP 20: Flip service switch up; "CYCLE KEY SWITCH" is displayed.
STEP 21: Turn key switch to off position.
STEP 22: Turn on key switch.
Machine will proceed through the test sequence.
Displays will then be blank for about 5
seconds, then KVp and MAS will appear on the
top display and the bar graph should read
correctly.
