Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Ankit H. Shah, Imran Cronk, Dr. Vasken Dilsizian, and Mike Cannavo. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.
Numed, a well established company in business since 1975 provides a wide range of service options including time & material service, PM only contracts, full service contracts, labor only contracts & system relocation. Call 800 96 Numed for more info.
In this installment, I check in with Dr. Ankit H. Shah, section chief of interventional radiology at Valleywise Health Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, about the emergence of interventional radiology, the role it has played for coronavirus patients, and how the specialty may be different in the future.
In this installment, I check in with Dr. Vasken Dilsizian, president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and a professor of medicine and radiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and chief of the division of nuclear medicine in the department of diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
We discuss the way the coronavirus has impacted nuclear medicine, and what the virtual format will mean for the SNMMI Annual Meeting, which just wrapped up yesterday (we spoke a few days prior to the meeting).
In this installment, I check in with imaging IT expert and independent consultant, Mike Cannavo, about the state of PACS, the impact of the coronavirus, and considerations for providers entering the imaging IT marketplace.
