Siemens Healthcare announced the first U.S. install of its recently released "business class" CT scanner.
In a press release Monday, the German industrial giant said 537-bed Northside Hospital-Atlanta has installed the Somatom Perspective, a 128-slice CT scanner cleared by the Food and Drug Administration in June
Siemens has marketed the device, which debuted at the Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting in November, as a lower-cost but still high-end scanner appropriate for community hospitals.
Numed, a well established company in business since 1975 provides a wide range of service options including time & material service, PM only contracts, full service contracts, labor only contracts & system relocation. Call 800 96 Numed for more info.
The system features Siemens' dose-reducing iterative reconstruction technology Safire and an automated scan parameter program, eMode, that Siemens says could reduce tube power and extend the life of the system.
