This is a model 81 Cofflator, also known as a In-Exsufflator, probably dating from the early 1970s, but very close in appearance and mechanics to what I understand the original 1950's machines were like. It is used to help provide Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing assistance when coughing is not easy or possible. This is a relatively simple, totally mechanical device which uses 120 VAC power. It appears to work flawlessly and comes with the accessories and instructions seen in the pictures. It is permanently mounted in a suitcase style case. At 30 pounds it is heavier than the newest version of this type of pump, but it is probably also more robust and definitely proven.
A 7 day inspection warranty is included.
