TREX CONTINENTAL TM30 Flag84

September 03, 2014 09:03

Trex TM30
Switching on in the morning allways get flag84 (tube heat) and stays in HOLD.
After 20 minutes reboot and it goes ready.
Will work all day without problems.
Any ideas?
Sometimes it takes 30 minutes and several reboots to go ready and stop showing flag84.
(Tube overheat switch is OK).
Thansk for the help.

I would 1st jump out TB4 2-3 on the field I/O PCB. that will bypass the thermal switch in the tube, In case the cable to the tube is bad. You could check if IC20 is good. See page 8-26 schematics or IC9 pg 8-28.

Flag 84 => FACTORS WILL EXCEED TUBE HEAT LIMIT
Flag cleared by reducing tube power or by allowing tube to cool.

Have you tried reducing the exposure factors to see if you can clear the Flag 84? (mA, time, kV)

Good Luck, Wayne H.

I did... But anyway it happens as you switch the generator on in the morning, before any xray try or anything... It reports flag 84 and just doesn't go ready with any parameters.
Thanks a lot for the help.
