I am facing a problem with my Siemens Sonoline G40 ultrasound machine. After normal booting up, it is showing error: "system cooling fan non functional" after every two minutes. The fan in the BE Board was found to be non-functional. However, the message was still there even though I replaced the BE Board. I reloaded software and the message did not go away. Then I replaced three other parts, including the DC/DC, fans set, and transformer, and reloaded software. The message did not go away. There must be a way to reset the machine or clear out errors. I am hoping that somebody can help me with this as soon as possible.
Thank you all!
If you did a "clean factory installation" of the software, it would clear out any error flag. Is the Fans LED on the AC/DC power supply lit amber indicating a fan failure? Check the Fan Alarm cable connection on the back of the AC/DC power supply. The control circuitry for the fan assembly in the AC/DC power supply may have failed.
Thank you Jim for your reply. I did a "clean factory installation" of the software. There were no LED indicators lit amber for the fans failure or for any other failure. The fan alarm cable was delivering power to the fans set, which was why all four fans were working properly. Would there be a failure even though the fans are working? Thank you again!

Hello,
We have the same problem with our Sonoline G40. The "Fan fault" light is on and it stops the unit from booting up. We checked and all of the fans are functioning.
No one on this thread has been able to help for over 6 months.
Our unit is now just idle, not being able to use it.

Replace the AC/DC power supply! I had the same problem and this replacement solved it.
