We have an issue with ProSpeed Sx Power with SS type DAS.Image artifacts appear in the form of multiple rings and center smudge, but each subsequent scan artifacts are different. The image deteriorates when speed of rotation is increased or by reducing the slice thickness. Checked already power supply, slip ring, brushes, ISO Center Alignment, Plane of rotation, Bow-tie filter and others.
Your advice to solve this issue will be appreciated.
I HAD THIS PROBLEM. TAKE THE COLLIMATOR BLADES OFF AND GET TO THE BACK SIDE YOU WILL FIND LEAD OXIDE. JUST TAKE A
Q TIP AND WD40 AND CLEAN IT THEN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND RE CLIBRAIT THE SYSTEM
Thank you for your advice. We try your suggestion, but there is no change in the image quality. If you provide an e-mail will send you images and tests that was made.

Another possibility is that the collimator blades are moving during a scan. Did you actually see the back side of the collimator blades. If you get a new collimator you must check it for lead oxide it looks like littles crystals. I have had this problem on 3 prospeeds.

Just curious if the bow tie filter is the old style that is prone to cracking. You can shine light through it and see if it has little deterioration. This type of artifact will have rings and center spot

Also if you look at the tube port and it has spots this is the same collimator debris and when it hit the copper it soldered to it. Clean carefully try not to scratch copper
