Lynn Fulton
Wailuku, Maui, HI (October 12, 2023) – Maui Health is pleased to announce that after an extensive national search, Lynn Fulton has been named Maui Health Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2024.

Lynn is a passionate and accomplished healthcare executive with a proven track record of leading hospitals and ambulatory systems to operational and financial success. She is recognized amongst healthcare executives for her highly collaborative and thoughtful approach to building strategic plans, developing and uniting leaders and strong operational teams, and aligning health systems with the needs of its communities.

She is also known for her authenticity and “boots on the ground” approach to building trust and transparency, creating genuine relationships with employees, physicians, and the community, and improving workplace culture.

“Lynn brings a wealth of experience in community hospital operations and has successfully worked through many of the same challenges we currently face at Maui Health, leveraging similar opportunities to improve and expand services,” said Clay Sutherland, Maui Health board member, and a lifelong resident and respected business leader on Maui. “Her people-first, community-centered philosophy has driven all of her incredible accomplishments over the last two decades and will be central to moving Maui Health into its next chapter of growth.”

Lynn joins Maui Health from OSF HealthCare, St. Joseph Medical Center where she served as President and was responsible for all day-to-day operations, providing market direction and operationalizing system strategic objectives. Over the last 20 years, she has held other key executive roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and President of OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center.

“I am humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to serve these special islands of Maui and Lanai,” she said. “I am committed to listening, learning, and working tirelessly to create a thriving healthcare system for the people of Maui County.”

Lynn, her husband, and her daughter will relocate to Maui to join the Maui Health team at the end of this year. As CEO, Lynn will focus on actively engaging the Maui Health Board, senior management team, employees, physician leaders, medical staff, and the broader community to develop a clear vision, strategic plan, and operating plan for the future of Maui Health.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Kerry Watson, who has served as Maui Health’s interim Chief Executive Officer since mid-February 2023. Notably, he has provided strong and steadfast leadership for response and recovery efforts during the Maui wildfires, which have impacted our employees, patients, and communities. Kerry is committed to supporting Lynn as the new CEO to ensure a seamless and successful transition in the coming months.
