Evanston, Illinois – September 7, 2023 – Jonathan Lind has been named President of Swedish Hospital, effective September 1, 2023. He succeeds Anthony Guaccio, who will remain as Chief Executive Officer of Swedish until the end of 2023 when he will retire after 27 years.
Since joining the organization in 1999, Lind has provided excellent leadership in managing a variety of services, business units, personnel and projects. He has more than 25 years of experience in operations, financial management, project management and strategic planning, including most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Swedish Hospital. As COO since 2016, Lind helped Swedish evolve into a comprehensive healthcare system with a reputation for technological and teaching excellence, compassion, community connection and growth.

As President of Swedish Hospital, Lind reports to Sean O’Grady, President, North Region & Institutes, NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health. Lind earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dartmouth College and received an MBA with a concentration in finance and economics from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
