MXR Imaging Inc., the largest independent distributor of imaging sales and service in the U.S., announced today the acquisition of Advanced Imaging Group, a leader in MR and CT parts and service with locations in Florida and Tennessee.

According to MXR Imaging, the deal allows it to deepen customer bonds by offering a more comprehensive overall offering that spans MR, CT, PET/CT, X-ray and ultrasound.

“The acquisition of Advanced Imaging Group represents our commitment to further support our customer needs," MXR executive, Robert Manetta, told HCB News. "The AIG team brings with it industry-leading talent and skill that will allow us to provide expanded capabilities for imaging parts, parts repair, and accessories. This enables us to control the majority of our supply chain needs.”

Advanced Imaging Group specializes in GE HealthCare and Siemens Healthineers technology. The company was established in 2014 with a 9,000 sq. ft. medical parts warehouse. A few years later, under the guidance of CEO Dave Band and president Scott Simmons, the company moved into a 28,000 sq. ft. warehouse of reconditioned MR and CT equipment. In 2018, the company further expanded by combining resources with Dedicated Imaging Solutions.

Simmons will assume the role of vice president of parts repair with MXR Imaging.

“We are thrilled to become a part of MXR's family," Simmons said. "This acquisition brings together our shared dedication to excellence, and commitment to delivering quality products and services to our valued customers. By joining forces, we have set the stage to achieve unprecedented milestones and set a new benchmark for industry standards.”

The acquisition follows MXR Imaging's purchase of Med Tech, a New Jersey-based provider of MR and CT sales and service, in June 2022.
