Deinstallation contest - How would you solve this problem? - Win $200

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | September 22, 2021
This week, instead of my usual Five Minutes in Healthcare interview series, I want to do something fun and a little different.

I was talking with some friends who work in hospital asset disposition and they all have their own favorite stories of times they came up with unique solutions to unexpected problems. When you're involved in install and deinstall jobs with MR and CT scanners, averting a costly crisis sometimes requires thinking outside the box.

So, today I want to share with you one such crisis situations and challenge you to come up with the solution. The people who come up with the right answer will be entered into a drawing for $200, or if only one person has the right answer, they will automatically win the prize.

Submit your solution to the puzzle in the comment box below, or if you prefer, send your solution to news@dotmed.com.

Well the easiest way to slide very heavy objects like a CT gantry that I have personally used is setting it down on watermelon rind. Another trick is Rolling it in on welding rods.
