Intelerad will supply cloud-based imaging managed services to LifeBridge Health
Intelerad Medical Systems will provide cloud-based medical imaging managed services for LifeBridge Health.

The two inked a deal that is expected to enhance LifeBridge’s workflow and productivity, while protecting patient data and optimizing its resources. “Our physicians navigate large amounts of medical imaging and data, and we are interested to see how this more integrated system may allow our teams to work more productively and efficiently, while having the image and data integrity they need to provide the best care possible,” said Tressa Springmann, senior vice president and chief information officer for LifeBridge Health, in a statement.

LifeBridge Health will utilize Intelerad’s nuage Cloud Imaging Platform for its facilities in Maryland. This includes the company’s IntelePACS solution, which utilizes communications and compression technology to preserve image and data quality while allowing for access to images at any time, from any location. It also integrates seamlessly with third-party HIS, RIS and EMR solutions and comes with InteleViewer, an intuitive, feature-rich and easy-to-use DICOM viewer.

Another system that will be adopted is the Clario SmartWorklist, a personalized and context-aware enterprise imaging solution for intelligently managing reading workflows. It does this by organizing each radiologist’s daily reading tasks according to credentials, subspecialty, workload, availability and other categories. For optimal reading quality and efficiency, the software balances peer review tasks with daily workload, reduces the impact of disruptions and provides at-a-glance visibility into daily reading workloads and progress to keep radiologists on top of their work.

“From an increase in patient demand to reduced revenue and overworked staff, healthcare organizations are in need of robust technology solutions that reduce administrative burdens, increase productivity and streamline workflows,” said Christian Bazinet, chief commercial officer at Intelerad. “We’re excited to partner with LifeBridge Health to deliver managed services and enterprise imaging solutions that will allow their team to reduce time spent on technology and imaging challenges so they can focus on what they do best — providing great patient care.”

The partnership follows Intelerad's recent acquisition of Heart Imaging Technologies in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. The company provides web-based medical image management technology and services to health systems, and is expected to significantly expand Intelerad’s enterprise imaging offerings and capabilities while also deepening its cardiovascular expertise.
