Arlington, Va. (February 4, 2021) —The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) announced that the SCCT 16th Annual Scientific Meeting will be in a virtual format, due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic restrictions on travel and gatherings as well as concern about the health, well-being and safety of our attendees, faculty and their patients.

The second virtual conference will be held Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17. The event will include many of the same features that made SCCT 2020 Virtual so successful, including three session channels, plentiful interaction between attendees and presenters, abstract presentations, the ability to interact with exhibitors and access to recordings on-demand after the live meeting.

“Along with all of you, we had hoped to see a downturn in the pandemic that would enable us to hold an in-person meeting.” says SCCT President Koen Nieman, MD, PhD, MSCCT. “But unfortunately case levels are still high, and the planning committee felt the best decision was to keep the annual meeting in a virtual format. On the positive side, this makes it easier for more people to attend and engage, building on the popularity of the SCCT 2020 Virtual meeting.”
This virtual meeting will offer an online learning experience that provides significant professional and scientific educational opportunities for members and attendees. The Annual Scientific Meeting is designed to engage physician and healthcare professionals in a comprehensive exploration of the most current developments in the field of cardiovascular computed tomography principles, methodologies, appropriateness criteria and clinical practice.
