My interviews with Dr. Joe Nicholson and Steve Campbell

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | December 02, 2020
Dr. Joe Nicholson (L) and Steve Campbell
Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Joe Nicholson and Steve Campbell.

In this installment, I check in with Dr. Joe Nicholson, chief medical officer for CareAllies, a Cigna company that brings value-based care solutions to physician organizations. We talk about the enormous impact of COVID-19 on primary care physicians and healthcare in general, from the positives like technological innovation to the negatives like a drop in cancer screenings. Dr. Joe says that, for better or worse, we will look back on 2020 as a turning point in the way we think about healthcare.

In this installment, I check in with Steve Campbell, newly appointed acting president of AAMI, to discuss how his background in journalism ultimately led to his career in the HTM industry. We also talk about how AAMI has responded to the coronavirus pandemic, addressing the convergence of medical devices and health IT, and the need for a new generation of HTM professionals.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
