Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Randy Clark, Matus Knoblich, Dave Francoeur and Bob Gaw. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In this installment, I check in with Randy Clark, president of the Medical Systems Group at Olympus Corporation of the Americas, about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the company and on field employees in particular.

We also discuss the importance of pivoting to a virtual presence for medtech in the hospital as a way to reduce the spread of infection, a subject Randy recently addressed in an exclusive HealthCare Business News byline.

In this installment, I check in with Matus Knoblich, CEO of Glo-Med Networks and managing director of Med-Stat Consulting Services. We talk about the impact of the coronavirus in New York and Florida, and how Med-Stat's biomedical outsourcing capabilities were able to support hospitals in the thick of the pandemic.

We also discuss Glo-Med's Orbel, a novel hand sanitizing solution that disinfects with a simple swipe of the hand.

In this installment, I check in with with Dave Francoeur, senior VP at Tech Knowledge Associations (TKA), about how his company provides HTM support to hospitals and what the coronavirus pandemic has meant for their business.

He also offers an update on the equipment service collaborative communities called for by the FDA, and why he's optimistic about progress in the right-to-repair debate, despite the recent withdrawal of OEM trade groups, MITA and AdvaMed.

In this installment, I check in with medical equipment industry veteran, Bob Gaw, president of Physicians Resource Network (PRN), about the business impact of the coronavirus pandemic and what kind of repercussions he expects over the next several months.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
