Los Angeles, CA – (August 17, 2020) MedInformatix has been selected to deploy its RIS and revenue cycle management solution for Windsong Radiology Group, a Buffalo-area imaging practice serving patients in Western New York, Southern Ontario (Canada) and Northern Pennsylvania.

With 22 radiologists operating from five locations, along with a mobile mammography unit, Windsong is among the most prominent and high-profile radiology groups in Upstate New York. They conduct an average of 400,000 patient exams annually, offering state-of-the-art diagnostic, interventional and vascular radiology services, including 3T MRI, the most advanced CT scans, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, sports and orthopedic medicine. Windsong is recognized for its leadership in women's imaging and has developed a comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence that has been accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

Windsong's commitment to offering the most advanced technology in radiologic medicine has helped position the practice among the top 100 free-standing diagnostic imaging facilities in the nation. Prior to MedInformatix, the group operated on an IBM/Merge RIS and an Imagine billing platform.

"The time was just right for us to make the switch to MedInformatix," said Gerald Nannen, Chief Administrative Officer at Windsong. "We've known about their solution for quite some time, and as our practice has continued to grow in terms of the patients we treat, the services we offer and the locations from which we operate, the scalability of MedInformatix to meet our unique needs is something that will serve us well, both now and in the future."

MedInformatix CEO Pat McGonigle sees a lot of parallels between his company and their newest client. "We both built our business from a rather modest enterprise into solid market leaders that are well-respected in the industry. We are continually innovating. Most importantly, we share an unyielding commitment to serving our patients, customers, and the community at large. This is just a great new relationship and one I am confident will be productive over time."
