Five Minutes in Healthcare is a new series we've introduced in HealthCare Business News, where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Mark Tomaino, Alexander Eitel, Brian Kosar, Matt Tomory and Scott Mackeil. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

While the conversations frequently revolve around COVID-19, my conversation with Mark Tomaino, an operating partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, focused on private equity partnerships and the key drivers for creating value in a company.

In the following installment we speak to Alexander Eitel, head of marketing and business development for Dunlee, about the business impact of the coronavirus and some of the overlooked silver-linings that have accompanied the drastic shake-up to our everyday lives.

In the following installment we speak to Brian Kosar, chief marketing officer at Probo Medical, about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on medical imaging, and the ways his company has turned the downturn in diagnostic exams into an opportunity to improve the way they do business.

In the following installment we speak to Matt Tomory, vice president of the Ultrasound Center of Excellence for Innovatus Imaging, about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on medical imaging, and the ways his company has turned the downturn in radiology exams into an opportunity to improve the way they do business.

In the following installment we speak to Scot Mackeil, a senior certified biomedical equipment technician (CBET) at Massachusetts General Hospital and 2018 AAMI BMET of the Year, about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted his facility, and his role as a biomed leader.

In addition to discussing the fundamental, unchanging goals of biomedical equipment technicians, Mackeil talks about some of the special tasks that he's been assigned during the crisis and some of the sage advice that has helped him succeed in his role.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
