Zebra Medical Vision’s AI1 "all-in-one" bundle of algorithms is now available on the Nuance AI Marketplace portal.

The portal, designed to offer users of the Nuance PowerScribe radiology-reporting platform access to AI diagnostic models, now enables downloads of a solution equipped with triage, population health and oncology assessment tools.

"The integration allows Nuance users to get Zebra-Med's fully automatic analysis results directly into their report, as soon as these are available from the Zebra Medical Vision imaging analytics engine," Eyal Gura, co-Founder and CEO of Zebra Medical Vision, told HCB News. "Thanks to the integration of Zebra-Med into the Nuance AI Marketplace, radiologists can now not only get alerts on positive findings in a timely manner, but can also reduce the time of reporting those findings."

The Nuance AI Marketplace offers users with Nuance PowerScribe the opportunity to test and use algorithms to increase reporting efficiency and quality, and improve patient outcomes and healthcare costs. Approximately 80 percent of U.S. radiologists across more than 6,500 connected healthcare facilities use the radiology reporting system, and can share real-world results with developers through a built-in feedback channel for algorithm refinement and post-market surveillance.

The 2020 version of AI1 provides clinicians with solutions that can analyze millions of images in real time, and alert relevant stakeholders in hospitals and clinics. Among them are:

● Stat.AI: A multi-modality AI triage solution for the head CT package that can identify suspected intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), and a chest X-ray package for identifying suspected pneumothorax. Both products are FDA cleared and CE marked.
● Population Health:
○ Bone Health package for identifying vertebral compression fractures, a sign of potential osteoporosis
fractures. It also serves bone health programs and is CE marked.
○ Cardiology – FDA cleared tool that enables automatic identification of coronary calcium.
● Oncology: Breast Cancer package with an automatic AI triage mammography solution that indicates “suspicious” from “non-suspicious” findings in diagnostic 2D mammograms. The mammo CAD solution is CE marked and the triage solution is currently for investigational use only.

The solution also includes Zebra Medical's Health CXR device, which recently received FDA clearance for in intended use of identifying and triaging pleural effusion in Chest X-rays.

Zebra Medical plans to introduce additional applications as part of AI1 in the near future. "Zebra Medical will be working on additional solutions in the area of Stat.AI - Acute conditions, and will expand the X-ray package and the head CT package to identify additional acute conditions," said Gura. "In the oncology package we will expand our AI breast solutions, and in population health with additional screening products as well."

The 2020 AI1 bundle version will be on display in December at the 2019 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago.
