Plano, TEXAS | November 21, 2019 – medQ, Inc. will be debuting yet another major innovation at RSNA 2019 in the form of an integrated Peer Learning Program. This major release will elevate a sometimes narrowly-focused peer review methodology into a positive improvement experience by introducing an interactive Peer Learning Program.

"All-in-all, Peer Review up till now has been too punitive," stated Nilesh Kalidas, CTO of medQ. "This peer learning software offers a guided approach to go beyond peer review and foster real, positive improvement for imaging teams."

The integrated Peer Learning Program is a compliment to medQ's reporting solution, Q/ris Reporting PLUS+, and will allow radiologists to identify additional types of studies for a group study pool. In addition to the traditional "disagreement" studies, "Good Catch" studies will celebrate a radiologist's good work while helping other team members recognize a case where an issue could have been easily missed. "Interesting Case" studies will highlight particularly complex cases, which, when viewed with priors, represent important learning opportunities for the team.

medQ's integrated Peer Learning Program also includes important tools to facilitate Peer Learning group discussions. When a study is selected for group discussion, the universally interoperable Peer Learning software then accesses the RIS, EHR, and PACS to pull all technologist notes, patient history, radiologist report, review commentary and relevant priors associated with the study. As the discussion leader guides the team in a group discussion, a group member can use the Peer Learning software to record and assign team members to lead quality improvement projects in order to establish a path towards progress.

After the group discussion is complete, the integrated Peer Learning Program can be used to record "case studies" summarizing the group's findings and resulting improvement projects, which will then be stored in the "Knowledge Base." These knowledge bases are accessible to the whole imaging team at any time for future reference and progress tracking.
