Los Angeles, CA – (September 24, 2019) Health IT innovator MedInformatix announced today that Tacoma, Washington-based TRA Medical Imaging will deploy the award-winning MedInformatix radiology information system. TRA is recognized as a pioneer in the field of radiology throughout the Pacific Northwest, having been the first imaging center in its region to offer ultrasound, head CT's, MRI, PET and 3D mammography procedures. The practice is one of just two in the entire state to achieve the distinction as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) from the American College of Radiology.

According to TRA CEO Chris Coates, MedInformatix has been on his radar for quite some time. "Our mission is to deliver the highest quality imaging care using the most innovative technologies in the market. The MedInformatix RIS stands alone, with a powerful revenue cycle management tool, among other capabilities, I expect will bring greater productivity and profitability to our enterprise now and over the long term. Plus, their platform integrates virtually seamlessly with our existing technology and can be customized to meet the ongoing needs of our practice, our physicians and our patients. It's a win-win-win."

TRA is one of the largest subspecialized radiology practices in the state, with more than 100 radiologists providing a full spectrum of diagnostic, interventional, neuro, musculoskeletal, vascular, pediatric and women's imaging services. The practice serves a varied patient population within a network of 11 area hospitals, 12 outpatient imaging centers and numerous clinics throughout the South Pugent Sound area. More recently, investments in technology have allowed the practice to provide professional teleradiology services to an even larger geographic area.

"TRA Imaging has been forging new frontiers in radiology for more than 100 years," said Pat McGonigle, CEOof MedInformatix. "Their commitment to innovation and high-quality patient-centered care aligns perfectly with our own and we look forward to a long and productive relationship moving forward."
