Miami, August 1 2016 — Startupbootcamp, Europe's leading business accelerator, today announced the ten teams that will join its inaugural Miami-based digital health program, which focuses on supporting and scaling startup companies working to transform healthcare and eradicate healthcare disparities from Miami.

Teams were chosen from among hundreds of applicants from over 40 countries. A diverse range of solutions – from pre-natal remote monitoring to Latin America's largest telehealth provider – were selected. The program will begin September 6 and culminate with a Demo Day December 1.

The chosen companies are matched with an international network of healthcare customers to accelerate sales and given access to a network of top-tier venture investors to raise seed and Series A financing to scale their business. Each company is provided with mentoring from more than 100 healthcare entrepreneurs, providers, insurers, influencers and investors and receives six months of free co-working office space, seed funding, in-kind services from partners such as Google, PayPal and Amazon Web Services and access to Startupbootcamp's global network and alumni growth program.

"We are proud that our inaugural class includes a diversity of founders, product category, stage and geography. We focused our selection on later stage companies with real revenue and traction poised to scale across our network of healthcare customers. We are hopeful that Miami will soon become recognized as a global hub for healthcare innovation," said Christian Seale, Founder and Managing Director, Startupbootcamp in Miami.

Six of the companies that were chosen have completed seed funding rounds, raising significant venture investments, and four include early stage startups that have completed an initial round of fundraising. They include:
