ECR 2015 was my 12th ECR in 15 years. I have seen the show evolve over that time. I remember in the past, feeling a little special because I was from North America but nowadays, the show is filled with people from our side of the ocean.

Over the years, I feel as though I have seen the energy go from reserved to outgoing to focused. It seemed to me that this year, everyone was focused.

I did not see very many people just strolling along but instead, it seemed that everyone was on a mission. Buyers and Sellers alike understand the economic challenges that we all face.

More than once, I heard people talk about how important it is to get value for their money and there was tremendous talk about how the Euro is losing ground to the dollar.

Activities in Ukraine and Russia were also big discussion points.

Unfortunately, smoking continues to be rampant at the show, which seems ironic for a show largely focused on education and technology to detect and treat cancer.

All in all, it seemed to me that the show was a success. If our booth was any indication, I believe most exhibitors will be very happy.

Those of you who live in Europe know we have launched a special European edition of our weekly news and thank you for all your compliments and suggestions about that.

Long story short, I believe that ECR was successful by just about every measure.
