AG Mednet Announces First Clinical Trial Quality Control Software for QIBA Imaging Protocol Compliance

Boston, Mass. -- Clinical trial sponsors working to standardize the capture and submission of complex imaging data through new QIBA imaging charters now have an easy and effective way to ensure the protocols are being met. AG Mednet's Submission, Quality and Compliance (SQC) software for QIBA is the first technology to automate the process of verifying QIBA protocol compliance, saving sponsors time and money and making it easier for investigator sites to submit quality data. QIBA is an RSNA-sponsored initiative to advance quantitative imaging and the use of imaging biomarkers in clinical trials by reducing variability.

While electronic transfer made the transporting of large imaging files faster, it did little to address the quality of the images being sent. AG Mednet SQC technology and the efforts of RSNA together with sponsor-driven QIBA protocols put the emphasis on improving quality at the source, before preventable human errors can cause queries and costly delays. Sponsors can utilize AG Mednet SQC for QIBA to significantly cut quality control costs at the core lab.

"Even though QIBA protocols should always be followed, sponsors still need to verify compliance," said Abraham Gutman, CEO of AG Mednet. "Today, the verification and quality assurance of all data submission occurs manually and after the images have been submitted, adding another expense, and opportunity for error, to the ever increasing costs and delays of clinical trials. AG Mednet's SQC software for QIBA protocols removes the manual process and scans imaging data for QIBA compliance in a fraction of the time, at a fraction of the cost."

AG Mednet provides the market-leading functionality and support to collect clinical trial image data globally, apply advanced, automated quality-assurance processes to ensure the data is protocol-compliant and readily usable, properly de-identify it to ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver it reliably and securely to one or more trial repositories.
