Originally opened in June last year, Alliance Medical's popular Barlborough Treatment Centre offers the latest orthopaedic procedures from its purpose-built premises to a variety of patients in the Trent and south Yorkshire catchment areas.

Commenting on the success of the recently installed `Drypro' 793 Laser Imager, Andy Best, the Treatment Centre Manager said, "As the first UK company to install this latest system, I can state that we are most impressed with its high quality of medical imaging, and are delighted by its output and performance."

Superior Technology
Konica Minolta's `Drypro' 793 laser Imager is the latest technology winner in the Medical Division's growing range of leading `dry' lasers and CR Systems setting new standards in radiology. The unit offers unrivalled image clarity, and has a minimal pixel size of 25 um, the world's highest resolution. It is also equipped with a Web maintenance function that allows the user a PC on the same network, via a web browser. In addition, the 793 features a large LCD touch panel with menus that are intuitive and easy to navigate. It can process 120 35 x 45 cms films per hour, and has an optional 6-bin sorter. This latest in the `Drypro' range occupies less space than that of a multi-functional imager with its footprint of 675 x 640 mm (0.43 sq. meters).
