Joseph Fifer will become CEO (Credit: HFMA)
Michigan health system executive Joseph Fifer is set to take the reins of the Healthcare Financial Management Association this summer.
Fifer is stepping in as president and CEO for Richard L. Clarke, who's retiring after 26 years leading the HFMA, the organization said. Fifer starts in June.
Fifer has spent the last 11 years as vice president of hospital finance at Spectrum Health, an 11-hospital, non-profit health system in Grand Rapids, Mich., HFMA said.
