Eppendorf Micro 5415 Centrifuge
This unit is fully refurbished with a 90 day warranty. When placing inquiry please include what rotor (what size tubes, how many, and if you want a swinging bucket or fixed angle) you would like, your company name, address, phone, and fax number so we can get you a formal quotation. We also have all the parts available for this unit.
The Eppendorf Micro Centrifuge 5415 centrifuge has a total capacity of up to 1.6 liters, and is highly used in research laboratories all over the world. In use, this centrifuge is recognizable by its minimal footprints, high quality construction and high degree of flexibility. The large range of rotors covers applications in both biotechnological research and clinical routine.
The Eppendorf Micro Centrifuge 5415 C is used for quick separation of precipitates e.g. seperation of precipitates e.g. sedimentation of precipitates, spinning down serum from blood) as well as separating liwuids of different specific density.
The standard rotor is a 45 Deg. angled rotor for 18 Eppendorf Microcentrifuge Tubes. For other test tubes, adapters and special rotors are available.
Cetrifuging times up to 30 min max. can be set on the timer. Short centrifuging times can be regulated using the momentary button (LED flashes at 1-second intervals).
The rotational speed is continuously adjustable from 1,000 to 14,000 rpm. Spin times up to 30 min. can be set on the timer.
Upon operating the momentary button, the centrifuge always (independently of the preselected rotational speed) accelerates to the maximum possible rotaional speed of 14,000 rpm.
Lid Latch: The centrifuge can only be operated whtn the lid is firmly closed. The lid cannot be opened until the rotor has come to a complete stop.
Test Tubes: Test tubes should be filled with no more than approx. 2.5 grams. This is approximately the weight of the contents of an Eppendorf 1.5 mL Flex Tube filled with 1.25 mL of 20% BaSO^4 suspension. When using organic solvents, e.g. chloroform, only use test tubes once, as repeated centrifuging may stress the plastic. Housing and rotor are chemically resistant.
