In this installment, I check in again with Dr. Berndt Schmit, associate professor of radiology at the University of Arizona, about the role of CT in COVID-⁠19 diagnosis and the impact of the pandemic overall in Tucson.

The last time we spoke, Dr. Schmit and I discussed his charity efforts. Including the unique needs of different regions, a rural mobile outreach breast cancer screening program in Bolivia, and the over-arching challenges in keeping legacy equipment operational in places with limited resources.
