I am proud to announce that Scott Carson has joined the Board of Directors at DOTmed.com, Inc. Everyone in the company is excited to have him on board.

Scott Carson is a veteran of the medical device industry for 24 years.

He and I have been friends for 15 years.

In 1996, Scott founded US Medical which became the first internet distributor of previously owned capital medical equipment. This company was named among Inc's 500 fastest growing companies. In 2002, he founded Med1 Online, a medical supply company of reconditioned equipment as well as capital medical equipment. Since then he has started a number of companies in the lasers and aesthetics industry.

Scott has had a positive influence on DOTmed and I wish I had a dollar for every time that he has made a suggestion as to how we can improve our online offering. He has the ability to zero in on what is important and what is not and he has a tremendous reputation and far reaching connections in healthcare.

Scott promises to help DOTmed grow so that we can help our users make more and better connections.

I asked Scott why he was willing to serve on our board and he said a few things:

"As a reseller, DOTmed has always provided both segmented end user buyers and other dealers, this helps buyers and sellers. The rating system and ability to leave feedback allows users to know who they are dealing with. I am excited to help DOTmed continue to build community of buyers and sellers while maintaining and expanding on the DOTmed brand of integrity and doing the right thing."

My feelings about Scott are perhaps best summed up in this LinkedIn recommendation I wrote for him in 2014:

I believe that Scott will help DOTmed increase efficiency, quality and improve access to healthcare and I am glad to have him on the team. For that matter, all of us at DOTmed are excited to have him on board.

His strengths will help the company bring more affordable resources to the healthcare community.
